Anna Püschel
PhD ResearcherAnna Püschel started her interdisciplinary artistic research in the KULeuven Architecture department in 2022. Her practice explores different ways of acquiring knowledge and spans photography, movement, archiving and writing. Melting different epistemologies into inquiries about certainty and truth, Anna questions our definitions of what we think we know. Her published deeply personal artistic research projects touch upon perception, pluriformity and access to information and power, and can be found in public and private collections in Europe, America, Australia and Asia.
Her PhD project Stimming a Space dives into embodied neurodivergent knowledge as a means to rethink accessibility for everyone in the Arts. Interpreting stimming (self-regulatory movements) as a radical gesture of selfcare, she seeks to expand our understanding of neurodiversity to develop tools that neurodivergent artists as well as institutions can imply in order to support neurodivergent creative talent.
