Desire-based research (Image research day)
21.03.2024The yearly research day by the research unit Image (LUCA School of Arts, Ghent), was aimed at mapping threads of desire within the research projects of Mattijs Driesen, Fiona Hallinan, Breg Horemans, Steve Michiels and Konstanze Kapsali.
Through the DASarts feedback method the participants were asked to think along with the researcher’s propositions, starting from personal engagegements and working towards collective topics. Fluid Future member Breg Horemans presented findings on his research project Regenerative Spatial Dramaturgies in an intimate presentation. Philosopher Peter De Graeve invited the participants to think alongside the lines of his Artistic Research for Life, setting boundaries to some of his own research desires, while unleashing others.
