Summer Solstice: Harvest of St. John’s Wort
21.06.2025LUCA Campus Ter Beken
Beekstraat 1-3, 9030 Ghent
We warmly invite you to join us on Saturday, June 21st for a Summer Solstice celebration. As the sun reaches its peak, we’ll gather at 11:30 AM at the entrance of Ter Beken Castle and begin at noon with a collective harvest of St. John's Wort—a plant long associated with the solstice, light, and healing.
Guided by Anna, we’ll explore its traditional uses and prepare a sun-infused oil to carry midsummer’s warmth into the colder months.
Please bring a clean glass jar with a tight-fitting lid (like a jam jar)—we’ll provide the oil base.
At 1 PM, we’ll come together for a shared potluck lunch. Bring food for 1–2 people—our table is a collective one, where everyone gets a taste of everything.
Later in the afternoon, Merel from Weder will host a gathering with a performance by Robbert&Frank Frank&Robbert, a bonfire, and a collective intention-setting ritual to welcome the second half of 2025.
The event is free of charge.
Sign up here so we know how many to expect.
Whether you join us for the whole day or just a part of it, we look forward to sharing this luminous turning point with you!
